1. Polychromatic

For the 1st  fish X-ray image:   A Polychromatic X-ray image taken with 40 kVp Bremmstrahlung spectrum (normal X-ray).

 

2. 25KeV Monochromatic

For 2nd fish:   
A non-optimized monochromatic X-ray image taken with a MXF Filter tuned to 25 keV.

 

3. 18Kev Monochromatic

For 3rd fish:   
An optimized monochromatic X-ray image which has been taken with a 25 keV MXF Filter tuned to 18 keV.

 

 

  

 

 

Purpose:  Demonstration of how being able to Tune the monochromatic X-ray Output to different energy levels (keV) is the way to optimize the X-ray Image for tissue specificity and produce the best Image(#3).
